Beth LaBreche, LaBreche
Principal and President

Beth LaBreche founded LaBreche in 1990. LaBreche is a full-service public relations agency specializing in strategic communications planning, media relations and crisis communications. Beth works to understand your business, to strategize and to execute communications programs that make a positive impact on your company's reputation.

She currently serves as the agency's president and provides strategic communication counsel and management to clients in various industries throughout the U.S., specifically within the professional and financial services industry, construction and real estate industry, and manufacturing industry. LaBreche is a partner of Public Relations Organization International (PROI), the world’s oldest and furthest-reaching alliance of international, independently-owned public relations firms.

Other Professional Experience
Before founding LaBreche, Beth was with a top public relations agency in the Twin Cities. Her career in communications began at Minnesota Suburban Newspapers, where she was a weekly columnist and advertising editor. Beth is a frequent speaker on communications topics such as crisis communications and media training.

Community Activities

  • Beth currently serves on the development committee for Milestone Growth Fund, Inc., a non-profit venture capital firm funding ethnic minority businesses.  Beth recently received the 2005 Milestone Growth Fund Outstanding Volunteer Award.

  • Beth also currently serves as a director on the board for the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce.

  • She has served on the board of directors for International Association of Business Communications, a not-for-profit international network of professionals committed to improving the effectiveness of organizations through strategic interactive and integrated business communication management.

  • Former President of the board of directors for the University of Minnesota School of Journalism and Mass Communication Alumni Society.

  • Past Vice President of the University of Minnesota's Public Relations Student Society of America.

  • Beth has been a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), International Association of Business Communications (IABC), National Association of Women Business Owners and Sales and Marketing Executives.

Publications and Awards
Beth has been a contributing writer for local and national magazines, and her public relations work has earned several industry and professional awards.

Beth has been recognized as one of the Most Influential Women in Business and a "40 Under 40" award winner by The Business Journal of the Twin Cities, and is a recipient of the Emerging Business Owner of the Year award from the National Association of Women Business Owners.

LaBreche's success was recognized in 2000 with the prestigious U.S. Chamber of Commerce Blue Chip Enterprise Initiative Award; and the company's community relations efforts were recognized with the 2001 Quality of Life Award by the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce. LaBreche has been ranked as one of the Top 10 Public Relations Agencies in the U.S. by The Holmes Report.

Education
Beth earned her degree in the School of Journalism, with a specialization in public relations and English, from the University of Minnesota.
